Customer Segmentation Using K-Means Clustering: A Machine Learning Approach for Market Strategy Optimization

Customer Segmentation Using K-Means Clustering: A Machine Learning Approach for Market Strategy Optimization Abstract Customer segmentation is essential for businesses to tailor marketing strategies, personalize customer experiences, and optimize resource allocation. In this study, we apply the K-Means Clustering algorithm to segment customers based on their purchasing behavior, demographic information, and spending patterns. The K-Means algorithm, an unsupervised machine learning technique, efficiently grouped customers into distinct clusters. This study analyzes the results to identify key customer segments that businesses can target for personalized marketing. The effectiveness of the model is demonstrated through an analysis of clustering performance using metrics like silhouette score and visualizations of the customer segments. Introduction In today’s competitive market environment, businesses must understand customer behavior to tailor products and services that me...

Big Mart Sales Prediction Using XGBoost Regressor: A Data-Driven Approach for Retail Analytics

Big Mart Sales Prediction Using XGBoost Regressor: A Data-Driven Approach for Retail Analytics Abstract The accurate prediction of sales is essential for retail businesses to optimize inventory, pricing, and promotional strategies. This study implements an XGBoost Regressor model to predict the sales of products across various Big Mart stores using historical sales data. The model achieved an R-squared value of 0.6364 on the training data and 0.5867 on the test data. The results indicate that the XGBoost Regressor effectively captures patterns in the data, but further model optimization and additional features may enhance predictive accuracy. This paper outlines the methodology, experiments, and findings of the model’s application to retail sales forecasting. Introduction Sales forecasting is crucial for retail organizations to enhance decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and maximize profitability. Big Mart, a retail chain, is looking to predict the sales of pr...

Medical Insurance Cost Prediction Using Linear Regression: A Comprehensive Data-Driven Approach

Medical Insurance Cost Prediction Using Linear Regression: A Comprehensive Data-Driven Approach Abstract The cost of medical insurance is influenced by various factors such as age, BMI, smoking status, and more. Accurate prediction of insurance costs can aid insurers in premium pricing and help individuals estimate their future healthcare expenses. This paper employs Linear Regression to model and predict medical insurance costs based on a dataset of patient information. The model achieved an R-squared value of 0.7515 on the training data and 0.7447 on the test data, demonstrating its capability to explain a significant proportion of the variance in insurance costs. The paper discusses the methodology, experimental results, and future improvements for enhanced prediction accuracy. Introduction In the healthcare industry, accurately predicting medical insurance costs is crucial for insurance companies to price premiums fairly and for individuals to make informed financial ...

Credit Card Fraud Detection Using Logistic Regression: A Data-Driven Approach to Secure Transactions

Credit Card Fraud Detection Using Logistic Regression: A Data-Driven Approach to Secure Transactions Abstract Credit card fraud poses significant risks to financial systems worldwide, with the increasing digitization of payment systems making it crucial to detect fraudulent transactions efficiently. This study implements Logistic Regression, a widely used classification algorithm, to detect credit card fraud. The model was trained and tested on a dataset of credit card transactions, achieving an accuracy of 94.16% on training data and 93.91% on test data. This paper presents the methodology, experimental results, and the potential of Logistic Regression in fraud detection, highlighting its practical application in real-time systems. Introduction As financial institutions continue to rely on online transactions, fraud detection has become a pressing concern. Fraudulent transactions can result in substantial financial losses and damage consumer trust. Traditional fraud dete...

Heart Disease Prediction Using Logistic Regression: A Comprehensive Approach for Early Diagnosis

Heart Disease Prediction Using Logistic Regression: A Comprehensive Approach for Early Diagnosis Abstract Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and prediction. This study utilizes Logistic Regression, a widely used classification algorithm, to predict the likelihood of heart disease. The model was trained and evaluated using a publicly available dataset, achieving an accuracy of 85.12% on the training data and 81.96% on the test data. This paper presents the methodology, experimental work, and results, highlighting Logistic Regression's capability to provide reliable predictions in healthcare applications. Introduction Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are a significant global health burden, accounting for a large proportion of deaths annually. Predicting heart disease risk at an early stage can lead to timely intervention and treatment, reducing the likelihood of severe outcomes. Traditionally, m...
